The availablity of water in Ethiopia also ranks as one of the lowest in the World. Only 31% of the Ethiopian population has access to a water source that is safe and clean. A study conducted by the World Health Organization shows that 114 out of 232 households were not within a 15 minute walk to a water source. Imagine if you had to walk 15+ minutes to just get a drink of water. Some families travel many kilometres to get water carrying it in a small basin ontop of their heads.
